The NEO uses an updated control board with a 7-segment display and LED indicators that show fault codes when problems are detected. This guide covers the most common NEO error codes.

Common Causes

Step-by-Step Fix {#fix}

  1. For E01/E02/E04/E05 — Always start with condenser cleaning. Use a fin brush and blow from the clean side. Verify condenser fan runs. Check ambient temperature.
  2. For E03 — Verify water supply is fully open and at 20–80 PSI. Remove the inlet valve screen and clean. Test valve solenoid resistance.
  3. For E06 — Connect manifold gauges. Compare suction pressure to the NEO pressure-temperature chart. Low suction = low charge. Find and fix leak before adding refrigerant.
  4. For E08 — Inspect the ice thickness probe in the water curtain area. Clean with Manitowoc cleaner. Test probe per service manual. Replace if failed.
  5. Reset — Hold the Off button for 3 seconds, then press On. Monitor the first complete cycle.
