| E-03 | Oven overtemperature | Critical |
| E-04 | Door interlock fault | Medium |
| E-10 | Control board fault | High |
| F-01 | Fan motor fault | High |
Alto-Shaam Combitherm Error Codes
| Code | Meaning |
|---|---|
| E-01 | Cavity sensor fault |
| E-02 | Steam temperature sensor fault |
| E-10 | Heating element fault |
| E-20 | Fan fault |
| E-30 | Water supply fault |
| E-40 | Drain fault |
Common Fixes {#fix}
E-01/E-02 (sensor faults): Test the cavity temperature sensor resistance. Alto-Shaam uses RTD (PT100) sensors on Combitherm models. Replace if out of spec.
E-10 (heating element): Measure element resistance between heating element terminals. Open circuit = failed element. Match replacement element to oven model voltage and wattage.
E-20/F-01 (fan fault): Check fan motor for obstruction in the oven cavity. Test motor capacitor (single-phase motors). Verify correct rotation direction after any motor replacement.
E-30 (water supply): Check water supply valve position and supply pressure. Inspect inlet valve screen for scale. Alto-Shaam Combitherm requires filtered water — check water filter saturation.
E-03 (overtemp): Critical — do not operate. Investigate thermostat, element control, or gas valve issue before resuming use.
